Applejack by Idriaka Applejack by Idriaka
Been playing around with SAI. It takes some getting used to coming from Photoshop, but I'm warming up to it (Especially the watercolor tool!).
First few attempts at using it still looked like ass, but I eventually drew applejack which I thought turned out pretty well.

Well PS is definitely more versatile no doubt, but I'd heard good things about SAI and wanted to try it out. That and I noticed a lot of my favorite artists worked in SAI and I wanted to find if there was some secret to awesome brush style in the program.
(Protip: There's not, they're just better than me!)

Nonetheless I like it and I'm gonna keep using it for now. It's not 'better' than Photoshop really, but for just painting it feels a lot more fluid and paint-like than it did in Photoshop and it's a nice change of routine.

Not sure what TCG means, honestly, but you're free to do whatever you want with the image so I doubt I'd have any problem with it!

She's actually drawn with hooves, I like the look that they give her.

Wow! really nice style. The blurring of the rope is really effective and the shading is well done.
